Aren’t we all glad to hear that the lawsuit against the Spears family has been dismissed? It seems Sam Lutfi is finally getting his “Karma”, by being the laughing stock of Hollywood. Jamie Spears, Britney’s Father, spoke out about the trial and how the X Factor star is doing today.
Sam Lutfi originally sued the Spears family over defamation, breach of contract, unpaid fees, and a host of other charges. He brought a slew of witnesses claiming everything from drugs to racism. Thankfully, the judge realized that Sam had no concrete evidence to merit his claim, and dismissed the case. While Sam has remained silent on the matter, Jamie spoke out today, saying, “I’m just so relieved that this is over with.” Spears’ father has served as conservator over Britney for 5 years now, and it definitely saved her life. It’s wonderful to see him stepping up to defend his daughter once again. When asked about Britney, Jamie said that she “doesn’t really want to talk about it.” He also spoke about her time after the meltdown, admitting,“It’s been a long road. Britney is a work in progress.”
He also said that he was relieved, and “That our family can finally put this behind us and move forward. I am so proud of each lawyer that represented our family in this. They were so prepared. They were ready. They stood behind us and I’m just so proud of each one of them that handled each one of these cases.”
He bragged on the judge, and said that he believes justice had been served. We’ve heard reports that Sam plans to appeal the decision, but there’s no final word on that at this point.
Jamie also mentioned her recent start on the X Factor. “She was very nervous the first night,” and “She’ll be a lot more on top of her game by next week. It’s something new … it’s not performing on a stage, so she’s out of her element.” We have the sneaking suspicion that Britney will do just fine in her new role.
What do you think of the Sam Lutfi case? Do you think that Sam will try to appeal it?
