The Real Housewives Of Atlanta Recap: Moving On

November 04, 2012 08:14 PM by Megan Thompson

The season premiere of The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs tonight on Bravo.  There is a new girl in town, Kenya Moore, and she is ready to stir up some trouble.  Will she be part of the talls or the smalls clique?

The show starts with NeNe and her ex-hubby Gregg heavily flirting. “Of course he wants me,” NeNe brags to the cameras. But NeNe has her heart set on moving to LA, so she can work on her new television series.

Kandi finally has a man to use her sex toys on, it’s her boyfriend Todd.  The couple heads to lunch together to discuss their new living situation.  They found a house together and are ready to take the next step.  Babies are on Kandi’s mind too; she wants a son named Cash.  “We both agree with love the name Cash, because that’s how we bought our house..in cash!”  The sex toy business must be doing well!

Guess what?  It’s another season where Kim is preggo!  Kim is opening presents and cards for KJs first birthday; this is where we learn she hasn’t seen her mom since the wedding.  Who can forget Kim kicking her mother out of the wedding?  Plus, Sweetie is back to help Kim find a new house. The mover quoted Kim a mere $82,000 to move the house.  “I have a headache, I’m going to lie down,” Kim tells Sweetie.

It’s our favorite mortician, Phaedra Parks.  “I want to be the Vera Wang of funerals,” Phaedra tells the cameras.  Her newest business venture is being the go-to person for pet funerals.  You can see the dollar signs in Phaedra’s eyes as she is talking to a veterinarian about her “pet services.”

Cynthia is arguing with her ex-husband (Leon) about her daughter being home-schooled.  Leon wants Noel to go to school, but Cynthia thinks she knows what’s best for her daughter.  “I want to go back to school this year,” Noel tells her parents.

Finally we get to meet the new girl in town, Kenya.  Kenya meets Lawrence for some drinks and a lot of gossip. We learn that Kenya is a “hustler” in the entertainment world and is a former Miss USA.  She has been living in LA for the last 18 years, but is back in Atlanta to work on her personal life.  The goal is to have her boyfriend, Walter, put a ring on her finger.

Kandi is showing off her new digs to Kim.  Kim isn’t impressed with the neighborhood, “I locked my f*%&ing doors when I pulled into the driveway,” Kim tells the cameras.  After a couple of Kim’s snide remarks about the house, Kandi starts to get annoyed. Kim just wants to chat about how it’s going to cost $100,000 for her to move.  If it’s not about Kim – than she isn’t listening.

The Baily Agency is still in business (are you surprised?) and Cynthia is having a casting call for a modeling job.  Since Kenya is former Miss USA, Cynthia has asked her to sit on the panel.  Kenya is being a little too critical on the girls and it’s making Cynthia very uncomfortable.  When Cynthia’s assistant tries to defend the models, Kenya goes after him.  “Who are you and why are you talking to me?  Bitch Please!” Kenya yells at him.

Cynthia has to step in and lay down some ground rules. Rule number one, is no insulting the models.  Kenya just feels that Cynthia is intimidated by her, but Cynthia is ready for her.

What did you think of the season premiere of the RHOA?  Is Kenya a trouble-maker?  Let us know what you think, leave us a comment below.
