Donald Trump’s Twitter Tantrum

November 07, 2012 06:10 AM by Megan Wilson

By now most of the nation knows that Barack Obama is still our president.   Whether you agree with the results or not, most people have taken it in stride. Everyone except Donald Trump, of course; which many people probably anticipated. The Celebrity Apprentice host had a meltdown last night via twitter over the election, the electoral college, and America in general, leaving us all wondering if he’s really just slowly starting to lose his mind?

Donald Trump has long been known for the chip on his shoulder against President Obama.  I’d venture to say that most of the nation has dismissed his offer to the president to release his college transcripts and passport information.  Hopefully, most of the nation has dismissed Donald Trump’s opinion on things alltogether, but I digress.

During the election yesterday, Donald Trump literally blew up twitter early yesterday night as @realDonaldTrump, tweeting “Well, back to the drawing board!”  He followed those up with two tweets he then deleted which read: “lost the popular vote by a lot and won the election. We should have a revolution in this country!”  and “Phoney electoral college made a laughing stock out of our nation. The loser one!”

We can’t really figure out why he deleted just those two tweets, as his tirade just goes downhill from there. Here are his tweets:

“We can’t let this happen. We should march on Washington and stop this travesty. Our nation is totally divided!”

“Lets fight like hell and stop this great and disgusting injustice! The world is laughing at us.”

“This election is a total sham and a travesty. We are not a democracy!”

“Our country is now in serious and unprecedented trouble…like never before.”

“Our nation is a once great nation divided!’

“The electoral college is a disaster for a democracy.”

“Hopefully the House of Representatives can hold our country together for four more years…stay strong and never give up!”

“House of Representatives shouldn’t give anything to Obama unless he terminates Obamacare.”

And then, finally, and to much of his followers’ relief, it seems Donald decided he needed some sleep.  One of his followers, Brian Williams of NBC, actually spoke out about Donald’s tirade, saying “Trump is someone who has driven well past the last exit to relevance and veered into something closer to irresponsible.”

We hate to see it come to this, but Donald really needs to take a step back from the computer.  He’s almost bordering on Britney Spears meltdown territory, don’t you think?

What do you think of Trump’s Twitter tantrum?  Do you think he’s going to try and make the president more crazy offers?

Let’s not forget that until elite white men (the Elite White Rule), who have been in power and control of the US since forever, become progressive and open to new ideas, situations, more tolerant of the races, and more diverse in their thinking, nothing will change in America and it will continue to be a divided, racist and hateful nation. This is why you have seen things over the last 4 fours that you’ve never seen before, particularly in Congress, since President Obama took office, i.e., anger, hatred, vitriol, and visciousness. Hopefully acceptance that it is ok for minorities to be in control and power, a common meeting of the minds, and willingness to work together will be the vehicles of choice to heal this nation and bring everyone together.

I see nothing wrong with what he tweeted. I wouldn’t even call it a tantrum. Many people feel the same way he does, including myself. It just happens that twitter may not have been the best medium to relay his thoughts b/c of the limited characters. What is a completely relevant stream of thinking, degrades to something that appears to be a tantrum when in fact he makes complete and mature sense to me!

He could have summed it all up in one tweet: “Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!”

What are you talking about “accept minorities in power”?
It has nothing to do with race. Why are you playing the race card? How about Condoleeza Rice, first black secretary of state? Republican…. And many more.
    Do some thinking before posting.
O is the worst president in history but it has nothing to do with the color of his skin but is because of the content of his character. Or lack thereof.

He has definitely met the end of his road. Even my very right-wing friends are enormously embarrassed by him and wish he would just go away. We really need to get this country moving forward and people like him are just so destructive and divisive.
