Dancing With The Stars contestant, Kirstie Alley has written a book, “The Art of Men” and she’s telling all when it comes to matters of the heart. And get this – she’s dropping names! But why? Maybe she’s having feelings of guilt and wants to clear her conscious and this book is her outlet. Or maybe now that she’s getting older, she feels the need to brag about the events of her heyday. Who knows? Keep reading and you be the judge.
We learned recently that Kirstie Alley takes full responsibility for ruining her marriage to first husband and high school sweetheart, Bob Alley. Kirstie explains she got a lot of attention from men when she was younger and didn’t quite know how to handle it. She went on to say she sort of cheated on her husband by kissing another man. Sort of? Come on now – you either cheat or you don’t. “I didn’t have sex with him,” she clarifies. “But I think it was worse when you fall in love with someone else, when you’re with someone, and you’re plotting and you’re planning,” admitting, “I kissed him.” According to Alley, that kiss led to her divorce and it would take her a long time to get over the betrayal.
Then in an interview with Barbara Walters, Alley confessed that her “Look Who’s Talking” costar, John Travolta was the “greatest love” of her life. Alley admitted that while filming the 1989 movie, she fell hard for Travolta but fought the urge to cheat because she was married to Parker Stevenson. She explains, “It took everything that I had, inside, outside, whatever, to not run off and marry John. And be with John for the rest of my life.”
And according to Entertainment Tonight, Alley also mentions loving the late Patrick Swayze. Alley said she and Swayze first met at a table read for the movie “North and South,” which was a televised miniseries from 1985. She said following that meeting, she and Swayze quickly developed a relationship despite the fact that both of them were married, Alley to Parker Stevenson and Swayze to Lisa Niemi. “We were creating a future together,” she said. “Both of us were married. We did not have an affair,” she explains. “But again, I think what I did was worse. Because I think when you fall in love with someone when you’re married, you jeopardize your own marriage and their marriage. It’s doubly bad.”
Alley took to Twitter on Tuesday to reiterate that the relationship she shared with Swayze “did NOT include SEX.” She went on to say, “like is complex. How we think. What we wanted to do but didn’t. How we justify our mistakes.” She explains, “I tried to portray this journey in my book.”
It would appear that Alley has a history of falling in love with her costars regardless of whether they’re married or not. What do you think of Alley’s confessions? Post a comment below and tell us what you think.
