The Voice may be in the midst of its live episode portion of season 3, but the show is already getting a head start on the blind audition process for season 4. And for the new season, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will be joined by new judges Shakira and Usher. It’s definitely different working with a new (and improved?!) judging panel, but Adam and Blake aren’t complaining.
As you may have heard, Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera will not be part of the judging panel during the fourth season of hit reality competition The Voice. Filling in next season are fellow musicians Shakira and Usher. While both are very talented, we still find it hard to imagine The Voice without Christina and Cee Lo!
Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will be sticking around for the fourth season, and in fact, they’ve already started to film the blind auditions. They are quick to admit that having two new judges on the panel is a big change, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s a bad thing. Blake told Access Hollywood, “The chemistry is definitely different with Shakira and Usher replacing Christina and Cee Lo. But the show is still really good. It’s still entertaining — it’s just different personalities.”
During a quick chat with Wetpaint, Adam appeared to share Blake’s positive attitude. ““It’s nice to see that caliber of artists was kept the same, that even though they’re very different, it will be wonderful to work with them.” Like Blake, Adam things that the main difference lies in the chemistry between the old and new judges. “You can never account for what the chemistry is going to be, and the chemistry is there which is nice. It’s a different chemistry. That was a transition, but it went very smoothly and we’re getting along great.”
We’re glad to see things are working out with the new judges! How do you feel about the changes? Will you miss Cee Lo and Christina? Feel free to share your thoughts below!
