So, we thought Laura Govan was straight up crazy for trying to get into Jackie Christie‘s business and offering to talk to her daughters, knowing full well that she didn’t have good intentions, but apparently, Jackie’s daughters aren’t exactly Team Christie either. What’s got the family so divided and what do the other ladies have to say about Laura’s constant game-playing? Find out all the highlights from tonight’s all new episode of VH1‘s Basketball Wives LA, after the jump.
Well this is awkward…. Just when we were about to have a fit about Laura trying to talk to Jackie’s daughters to find out all the family dirt, Jackie’s daughter, Chantel decides to take it upon herself and reach out to Laura! Why?
Her mother told her that Laura’s intentions weren’t good (why tell her daughters about Laura’s offer anyway?!), but as far as Chantel’s concerned, her mother’s intentions aren’t good either. Damn!
According to her own daughter, Jackie’s all about Jackie; trying to make a name for herself, and not the perfect mother that she claims to be.
Chantel then goes on to tell about the different ways that her mother has flat out dissed her older sister, not letting her be in family photos because she’s “too dark,” and “too fat;” recounting the times when she was 8 and her mother made her watch her then 12-year-old sister to make sure that she stayed on the treadmill for a certain amount of time.
It seems like Doug would’ve stepped in, but Chantel says that her mother always kept her from having any kind of conversation with him.
So, we know that all hell is gonna break loose after this meeting — and they know it too. Buckle up b—-es!
Later, Laura, Brooke and Malaysia get together and talk about the trip to Seattle, Jackie’s family issues, and Malaysia’s upcoming 80s themed birthday party. Brooke’s a little thrown off by everything she’s hearing, but takes the time to meet with Jackie one-on-one…yes, even after their little blow-up.
Brooke immediately brings up the daughter issue and Jackie says that it’s not her that has a problem with her daughter’s appearance, but that her daughter has her own confidence issues. Okay….
Once again, Jackie’s seeing that Laura is out to mess with her family. Hopefully, this time she doesn’t run off to go ask her if she’ll still be her friend again.
Jackie’s not the only one having problems with Laura though. All of the other ladies seem to agree that Laura’s throwin’ a lot of shade…in everybody’s direction. It’s even brought Bambi and Brooke together, so you know it’s serious.
At Malaysia’s party, the birthday girl manages to get Draya to forgive Jackie and sort of agree to walk in her show during Fashion Week. The conversation then turns to Laura, which is strange because she suddenly rolls up on them.
Jackie pulls Laura aside and does it again…. But this time it’s even worse. Why did she kiss the girl’s hand?!
Finally, Malaysia gets fed up and tells the ladies that if they’re not okay with each other, they shouldn’t hang out.
Jackie’s feeling pumped thinking that everybody is on her side, when everyone starts in on Laura, but the girls are basically just calling her out because she’s straight up WRONG for what she’s doing. Point blank to the period.
One person who doesn’t see things that way? Laura’s sister, Gloria. Which is understandable. Not only because they’re sisters, but Gloria’s never around anymore, so all she hears is Laura’s side of the story.
Where do you stand on this one — Team Laura or Team Jackie?
