Breaking Amish Recap: Stripper, Secret Baby, And Wedding End The Season

November 12, 2012 01:31 AM by Melissa Stavarski

The season finale of TLC‘s Breaking Amish begins right where they left off in Atlantic City, where Jeremiah and Sabrina brought Abe and Rebecca for a bachelor/bachelorette party. Abe and Rebecca get upset when a stripper joins the party. They leave the hotel room, Jeremiah follows, and the stripper is all like, who else wants to have some fun?

Sabrina, Kate, and Amish Andy enjoy lap dances. Rebecca wants the stripper to leave. Abe calls security, asks for help, and says, “My woman is like pissed right now.”

Despite the fact that Abe and Rebecca have been uptight through this entire journey, Jeremiah seems shocked. “Come on. They want to be English. Live the English lifestyle and do what the English do. Stop acting all Amish and shit,” he says. Jeremiah tells Sabrina and Kate they might have to shut down the party… right after he gets his lap dance. Sabrina thinks Abe and Rebecca are over reacting. She’s like, the stripper isn’t even hot! Once Jeremiah gets his money’s worth, he asks the stripper to leave.

Andy tells Abe, “That’s what a bachelor party is all about.” Sabrina tells Rebecca to chill out… she doesn’t. Sabrina says,  ”Seriously, she’s gone.” Rebecca yells, “I don’t care. Everybody has been disrespecting us this whole f***ing time, and I’m done with it. I have a daughter. I don’t need naked people in my face.”

Whoa. Bombshell. Kate is like, “What?!?” To the camera, Rebecca reminds the viewers about her previous marriage and admits she has a 19-month-old daughter. Abe refuses to talk about the baby.

Sabrina calls new boyfriend Harry, asking him to come to Atlantic City. Sabrina thinks Harry will be able to diffuse the stripper situation because he’s English.

Harry magically beams himself to Atlantic City. Right away, Harry picks a fight with Jeremiah, telling him there’s going to be a problem if he doesn’t stay away from Sabrina. Harry warns Jeremiah, “I have a problem with you.” Jeremiah fires back, “You f***ing enjoy her,” and Harry responds, “I will!” For no reason whatsoever, Jeremiah adds, “I enjoyed her up in New York. You enjoy her now.” Seriously, TLC?

Finally, Jeremiah realizes the trip is a “royal f***ing disaster.”

Back in Lancaster, PA, Jeremiah, Sabrina, Abe, and Rebecca discuss the bachelor party and the baby bombshell. Jeremiah insists he just wanted to be a good English best man. Rebecca explains morals and values to Jeremiah. Rebecca adds, “My kid is a really big part of my life but she’s also my private life.” She goes on to explain that the baby is at “home” with a babysitter. She’s been with a babysitter all this time? And, I thought her “home” was with her grandparents, who are now missing in action

In the end, they all hug it out, and Rebecca awkwardly hollers, “Yay, Amish!”

Random wedding stuff: Jeremiah whines and complains the entire time he and Abe try on tuxes. Abe’s family cannot attend his wedding, save for Amish Andy and ex-Amish Albert. The arrival of the Amish church wagon excites Rebecca.

While Sabrina and Rebecca get ready for the wedding, Jeremiah makes sure Abe knows he still has time to run. Abe asks, “With a nice woman like that… why would I back out?” Abe thinks Jeremiah has lost his mind. Abe suggests, “Let’s shut up and get dressed.”

Wedding time! Jeremiah says Sabrina hasn’t ever looked better. When Rebecca starts down the aisle, Abe says, “Holy crap. She’s beautiful.” As promised, Sabrina sings “Amazing Grace,” but she really shouldn’t have. It’s painful to listen to.

Abe sums it up, “Rebecca’s not just a girlfriend anymore… she’s a wife.” Abe misses his mom during the reception but says to Rebecca, “But, then again, I’m happy. I’ve got you. That’s all that matters.” Following the reception, Abe surprises Rebecca with a limo… she squeals. Abe scoops her up, carries her to the limo, and they drive off into the sunset.

Real-time Updates via TLC:

Kate signed a one-year contract with Major Model Management. She is planning to move to New York. She still loves and misses her family.

Sabrina and Harry are still dating. She has reconciled with her adoptive family. She is still curious about her Puerto Rican heritage and hopes to meet her siblings.

Jeremiah left Ohio. He now has a new English girlfriend. They recently moved in with Sabrina.

Abe and Rebecca are deciding where to live. They joined a Christian church and are raising their new family. They both have regular contact with their families.

DOES’NT ANYONE REALIZE HOW HARD IT IS FOR THESE KID’S TO BE KICKED OUT OF THIER HOME’S AND MOST ARN’T LET BACK. AND THEY ARE PREY FOR ALL THE PREDATOR’S OUT THERE.I SEND A PRAY FOR ALL THESE KID’S. AND AS FOR THE PARENT’S,”WHAT ARE YOU THINKING”. NOT ANY GODLY THOUGHT’S, as i see nowhere in scripture to throw away you kid’s at a certain age.

I couldn’t believe what I saw, this girl appears to have had a horrible life living Amish, the teeth situation and now the baby, I just hope that if she stays English, that she goes and get’s her daughter also?

@Brenda, you are confused. These kids are not kicked out. They are given the option at a certain age to go into the world so that they have the opportunity to decide for themselves if they want to stay in the Amish world. They are allowed one year to choose a lifestyle. Even if they choose to live with the “English”, they are still family and go back and visit like everyone else’s kids. And, as far as the Bible goes, you are again incorrect. It specifically say’s that when we are grown, we are to go into the world, build our own homes and our own families. There are several instances of this statement.
I would be happy to debate the issue if you like and provide scripture if you are un-able to find it.

Did anyone else find it fascinating that all of the people of this show cus like they have been using the words all along, drinking and all that goes with that. If these people had been in a community such as the Amish until they went to be on this show, what made them think that all of that was how you needed to act to be English? I think I watched the show because was totally shocked at how they acted.

TLC is in a race to the bottom, given the exploitive ‘reality’ show: “Breaking Amish.” What next — “Jesting with Jewry,” a rollicking series where ultra-conservative Jewish young people are poked into eating pork and prodded into close encounters of the stripper kind? Or how about: “Messing with Muslims,” again, pork; also co-ed bedrooms where hitherto strict Islamists fall, dead drunk, into eachother’s arms? Think such concepts would fly? No? Then quit trashing the dignity of devout Christian sects such as the Amish and Mennonites. The facts that Christians are not at this very moment picketing your head office, nor threatening violent reprisals is indicative of the fact that their faith prompts them to apply their energies in a more constructive direction. (Where are the programs that reveal Mennonites traveling to major disaster sites and quietly assisting people of all creeds with relief and free labor?) In launching a series like BA, you, ironically, presume on the gentleness the very communities you trivialize and hold to ridicule. Their civility prompts you to assume you’ll suffer no reprisals for the piece of media tripe you’ve manufactured. Too bad your own civility was and is inadequate to squash this squalid concept before it left the boardroom.
