Well, it’s the moment of truth…one of them anyway. After the Top 12 belted out their best last night on The Voice, it’s time to see which ones your votes saved from elimination, and who will be sent packing. Which of your faves made it through to next week’s Top 10?
Tonight on NBC….
Kicking off the results show was a curly coiffed Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green teaming up to perform Xtina’s latest single, “Make the World Move” from her new album Lotus (out today!).
Later, all 12 artists stood side by side to hear which of them would be saved first. And because of your votes, Team Adam’s Bryan Keith and Sylvia Yacoub of Team Christina are moving on to next week’s live show.
After country superstar Jason Aldean hit the stage, accompanied by Dez Duron and Bryan Keith, the next two saved artists were revealed — Team Cee Lo’s Nicholas David and Team Christina’s Dez Duron (told ya he’d make it through!).
The lady killers of Team Cee Lo, along with the head lady killer himself, take us back to the 70s with “Stayin’ Alive” (and yes, Cody Belew gives us a little of the “bam, bam” we’ve been missing from him).
Before they can even bust out of those tight bell bottoms, the remaining artists all come back to centerstage to find out that both Trevin Hunte (Team Cee Lo) and Cassadee Pope (Team Blake) are in the Top 10.
Blake Shelton (Entertainer of the Year) joins his team members to sing “Life is a Highway,” then…you guessed it…the other artists are shuffled onto the stage yet again.
This time, it’s Team Blake’s Scottish rocker, Terry McDermott and Amanda Brown of Team Adam who get the good news.
So – if you’re keeping score — so far, each coach has two artists in the Top 10.
Who’s taking their whole team with them next week?
Team Red Zone is looking good because with your votes, Cody Belew is joining his two team mates in the Top 10. Maybe this is Cee Lo’s season, afterall! But it could also be Adam’s to win with Melanie Martinez also making it.
Unfortunately that means that Adriana Louise of Team Christina and Michaela Paige of Team Blake will be going home tonight.
Next week, the Top 10 perform.
What did you think of tonight’s results? Do you think America got it right, or should Michaela and/or Adriana have been saved?
