Jen Carroll puts her pop-up restaurant on hold to travel to Los Angeles and help Fabio Viviani cater a fancy charity dinner on Bravo’s reality TV series, Life After Top Chef. Meanwhile, Spike Mendelsohn and his family scramble to get Good Stuff Crystal City ready for the public; and Richard Blais tests his chef’s skills after second-guessing his cuisine and career!
Spike and his family are trying to put the finishing touches on their restaurant Good Stuff Crystal City. He first competed on Top Chef: Chicago Season 4 where he was sent home right before the finale and returned to compete on Top Chef All-Stars Season 8. With their opening just around the corner, the Mendelsohn’s are worried since there are lots of problems including damaged wood fixtures. Now, they’re stressed that the problems could push back their opening.
Meanwhile, Richard continues to try his best to juggle his personal and professional lives. He is also preparing for the opening of his new restaurant, The Spence. After testing his chef’s skills, he starts to second-guess his cuisine and his career! He was a finalist on Top Chef: Chicago Season 4 and won Top Chef All-Stars Season 8.
After announcing to her family that she is planning on opening a pop-up restaurant while she continues to negotiate a deal with investors for her restaurant, Concrete Blonde, Jen decides to put it on hold to help Fabio cater an extravagant charity dinner. Jen competed in Top Chef: Las Vegas Season 6 where she proved she was a tough cookie. She also appeared in Top Chef-All Stars Season 8. Recently, she decided to quit her job with Eric Ripert to open her own restaurant. Unfortunately, while going over specifics with her investors, negotiations fell through. Now, she’s trying to find funding for her own restaurant. Once in L.A. things are going smoothly until Fabio’s sous-chef is two hours late delivering their dishes. Fabio, was born and raised in Florence, Italy and was the “fan favorite” from Top Chef: New York Season 5. He also competed on Top Chef All-Stars Season 8 and was the personal Chef to William Shatner. Fabio is furious that the food hasn’t arrived for the charity dinner. Finally, the food arrives just in time but Fabio has a talk with his sous-chef and tells hi this can never happen again.
As these four chefs continue to make names for themselves in the culinary world what will happen? Stay tuned!
