Middleton And Kardashian Feud Brewing?

Kim Kardashian and Kate Middleton: not exactly the two celebs you’d expect to wind up as BFFs. But the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star apparently longs to establish a friendship with the woman who managed to outrank her in wedding broadcast viewership…and held on to her husband for more than 72 days. Predictably, Kate Middleton is not as enthused with the idea.
Ever since she staged her very own British invasion, Kim Kardashian has joined the legions of fans obsessed with the lovely Kate Middleton. She told Life and Style that nothing would make her happier than to hang out with the Duchess of Cambridge. “We’d love to [see Kate Middleton], are you kidding? We all love her! I’d call her up and ask her to lunch. She’s amazing.”
Kate does not return the love, and according to an insider for The National Enquirer, she has privately expressed distaste for the entire Kardashian family. “Kate can’t stand their style, and from what she knows about their TV show, it’s just a bunch of trashy people primping and yelling at each other. She’s far too polite to diss Kim to her face, but she’s got enough on her plate without having tea with someone like her.”
Reeking of desperation, Kim has gone so far as to send the Duchess of Cambridge freebies from her clothing line. And of course, Kate isn’t about to sport excessive sequins or leopard print! The insider told The National Enquirer, that, tacky clothing aside, “the royal family is very careful about not being seen to endorse any product.”
Despite some salacious rumors on Twitter, it doesn’t look like an all-out Middleton and Kardashian feud is on the horizon. Kate’s way too classy to get down and dirty with a Kardashian.

First of all, Kate endorses products all the time! She confirmed that she uses Bobbi Brown cosmetics and Issa and Erdem dresses. So that’s a lie. Second of all, not everyone thinks Kate is great, so media, please don’t use those blanket assumptions. Lastly, Kim Kardashian and her brood are trashy, but what she does and what Kate does is not that different. Kate wakes up everyday and primps and waves at people, then has dinner served to her and then wakes up the next day to…you guessed it! Primp and make as much of a spectacle as she can muster up. So…Kate – your calling the kettle black. We here in the USA don’t like you or Kim, so in essence, you two have a lot in common!

Kate (of Comment #9 fame) — not all Americans are pushy, thank you very much. Just as not all Brits are uptight narcissists. Personally, I think that Kim K is the narcissist in this particular scenario. Kate presents herself as intrinsically more humble and more caring than does Kim. I see Kim as someone who would kiss her own reflection (a la Narcissus), while I see Kate as someone who would take time to reflect on (and then offer assistance to — even without cameras and media to report on it) those who are less fortunate. I do believe that Prince William chose a bride with all the best qualities of his beloved late mother, Princess Diana… May she rest in peace.
I seriously doubt that Kate M takes the time to “trash talk” Kim K at all — be it to her face or behind her back. My guess is that all of the speculation to the contrary is precisely that: speculation. My first thought about this “article” was that it is merely a puff piece written in haste, to make up for a lack of assigned copy. I still believe that to be the case. But seriously, does anyone really care? The Duchess and Kim Kardashian? SERIOUSLY?! Surely we can find something more substantive to care about, especially this time of year… N’est-ce pas?

I’m not going to waste time expressing my distaste for Kim and the likes of her, it’s been done many times. But honestly, why do you people put Kate on some sort of pedestal like she’s somehow better than everyone by default? As far as I’m concerned the royalty are just a more polished elegant version of modern celebrities, they don’t really produce anything useful for their society. And what are Kate’s accomplishments in life other than marrying very well? I cannot imagine she or anyone who has an ounce of self-respect would have interest in having Kim as a friend, but let’s not kid ourselves that she’s some kind of better-by-default person. Grats to her on marrying up, not much else to say.

1. Kate Middleton no longer exists. She is now Catherine Duchess of Cambridge and when written about she is to be addressed as the Duchess or Duchess Catherind.
2. I find it an absolute insult that Kim K should be compared with the Duchess. One is trash and the other is royalty and was born a classy lady and received a proper upbringing in a loving home. She has also had training on how to be a member of the royal family.
3. Catherine in no way buys her clothing in thrift shops but she does support the fashion industry in Britain.
4. The Queen is our sovereign here in Canada and we treat the Royal family with respect. I find that almost all Americans are jealous of those countries who claim the royal family as part of there history. As usual Americans think they can take whatever they want when they want and to hell with anyone elses feelings.
5. Kim is trying to exploit the Duchess and your press is pushing the buttons to make it happen
