Sarah Hyland Mourns End Of Twinkies

November 19, 2012 07:00 AM by Stephanie Gustafson

As the snackopolis of Hostess’ demise continues, celebs are weighing in on the sadness that is the end of the Twinkie. Donald Trump announced “RIP Twinkies” on his Twitter page and Piers Morgan pondered “what the hell is a Twinkie?” Perhaps the most devastated over the demise of the Hostess snack is Modern Family star and Punk’d alum Sarah Hyland

Sarah Hyland loves Twinkies and Twitter and she’s not afraid to let the world know. After learning the awful news that Twinkies were leaving for good, Sarah sent out a barrage of frantic tweets.  First, she worried about what would become of the mankind if Twinkies were in short supply during the coming zombie apocalypse. But she also figured that the disappearance of Twinkies could potentially prevent a zombie apocalypse. “If there will be no more twinkies. Then there will be no zombie apocalypse. I mean. The two go hand in hand. #whatwillweeatwhenzombiesattack.”

After thinking about the end of Twinkies, Sarah Hyland worried about other Hostess snacks. “Actually screw twinkies. I’m gonna miss dingdongs…. No dirty jokes please… Seriously.” Sarah then realized that she was talking about the wrong Hostess treat. How dare she mix up her Hostess terminology! “Oops. I made a mistake. Googled dingdongs and after scrolling thru many “dingdongs” I realized I meant HoHos… Omg these names!!”

Finally, Sarah ended her Twinkie rant with one final tweet. “Ok I’m done tweeting about Hos and Dongs…#hostess #farewell.”

We’re going to miss Hostess snacks, but the celebrity response to the end of these treats has made for great comic relief. Just another reason why we love Sarah Hyland and want her back on Punk’d!
