So far, the members of One Direction have managed to do a pretty good job of balancing work and school. And they’ve scheduled their concerts so as to allow the crazy fans time for both school and obsessing over their favorite band. But now, education is taking a back seat, with The X Factor alums performing in Australia during…horror of horrors…exam week!
One Direction — ruining millions of lives. Or at least, that’s what the poor teenage girls in Australia think. The One Direction tour was recently rescheduled, with their Australia tour dates falling smack dab in the middle of exam season. This obviously has One Direction’s target demographic — teen girls — in a bit of a dilemma, as they are now forced to choose between the exams that will determine their ability to get into the best universities and the opportunity to see their favorite boy toys live.
Once the high school students of Australia learned of the tour date change, all hell broke out in social media land. One Direction and HSC (the name of the exam) both became trending topics, with multiple Twitter users complaining that One Direction’s tour change had effectively ruined their lives.
We have yet to hear anything about the alleged life ruining from the members of One Direction, but we’re sure they’ll address their Australian fans eventually. Liam Payne did manage to toss aside several other rumors in a recent tweet, explaining, “Okay bored of constant news articles… I’m not dating Leona … My YouTube channel isn’t for a solo career and I didn’t insult Kim k…Pow!”
Do you find the current Australian crisis as amusing as we do? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below!
