The View Calls Chris Brown Twitter Feud Verbal Rape

November 27, 2012 08:00 AM by Megan Wilson

Chris Brown has been making for years with his behavior.  From the attack on American Idol guest star Rihanna, to dressing like a terrorist for Halloween, he never fails to bring the drama.  His recent Twitter feud with female comedian Jenny Johnson has proved, once again, that you should always THINK before tweeting.  After the completely inappropriate exchange,  Chris Brown deleted his twitter account completely.  His vulgar rant rubbed many fans the wrong way-including the ladies on The View.

After discussing the on-again off-again relationship drama between Chris and Rihanna, they started commenting on the tweets between Chris and Jenny.  “I think it’s disgusting, first of all,” said co-host Elizabeth Hasselbeck.  “But also, it seems like verbal rape to me. And I think at some point there’s gotta be a point where Twitter should ban anyone who writes anything forever on there and you should identify yourself.”

While they both agreed that Jenny shares some of the blame in the exchange, Whoopi Goldberg didn’t believe it deserved the “Verbal rape” stigma.

“I have to say, if you’re gonna mess with him [Brown],” Goldberg said, “you have to expect to get your head handed to you. Now, I sort of feel like…if you feel like that and you don’t wanna fight, don’t do that, don’t do that. And I disagree with verbal rape, I don’t think that’s verbal rape. I just think both was assault. Both were verbally assaulting each other, and that is what we need to get rid of on Twitter because it happens too often and too much to too many people.”

“It was vile, disgusting and I stand by verbal rape,” Hasselbeck shot back.  Whoopi stood her ground, and said, “You wanna b**ch at somebody, b**ch at them because you don’t like what they do. Have enough balls to say what you mean.”

What do you think about the feud?  Should it be classified as verbal rape? How long do you think it will be before Chris is tweeting again?
