First they took Manhattan, and now, the Muppets have invaded NBC‘s The Voice! What were the loveable characters up to? Which two artists were eliminated? And is it wrong of us to not-so-secretly wish that Statler and Waldorf could replace Carson Daly as host??! All the highlights of tonight’s show after the jump.
America has voted and the results are in…Adam Levine was totally out of line for dissing The Roxy! Oh, and we also know which two artists were sent home on The Voice.
After a duet from Amanda Brown and Trevin Hunte that was nowhere near their first performance together in the Battle Rounds; and some idle chatter from the coaches and Carson Daly (yawn!), Cee Lo and Kermit the Frog commiserate over being green with a pre-taped duet and sketch featuring the Muppets.
Sadly, it was brief, because we probably would’ve preferred a little more of Fozzie Bear’s Blake Shelton impersonation than another night of pointless questions and group performances. (*Sigh*)
Not surprisingly, America saved Cassadee Pope and Amanda Brown, who will both move on in the competition, along with Melanie Martinez and Nicholas David.
Terry McDermott will also survive another week, avoiding that free plane ride home.
The last save of the night went to Trevin Hunte, which means it’s the end of the road for Cody Belew and Dez Duron. And yes, with Dez out, that also means that Christina Aguilera is out of the competition as well.
What did you think of this week’s eliminations? Were you surprised to see Cody and/or Dez go? Who do you think should’ve been sent home? Sound off in the Comments section below. We want to hear from you!
