Hope Solo’s Husband In Jail For Probation Violation

November 29, 2012 04:28 PM by Stephanie Gustafson

We were wondering how long it would take for Hope Solo’s husband to wind up back in jail after his alleged assault — and the answer is, not long at all! Two weeks after his assault charges were dismissed, former athlete Jerramy Stevens was jailed for violating probation. How did athlete and Dancing with the Stars alum Hope Solo react to her husband’s most recent arrest?

Hope Solo is off in Ireland for a soccer match, but we’re guessing she’d like to be back home right now to support her husband. At least, that’s the impression given in Hope’s reaction to her husband’s latest legal issues. After hearing the bad news, the goalkeeper tweeted, “I feel bad for all the ignorance in the world. People are so quick to judge. The media spins stories in such dramatic fashion. I will continue to show love, and never make judgments. I am blessed w True Love & the beautiful game of soccer. I wish everybody the same happiness.”

Jerramy Stevens’ assault charges were dropped two weeks ago, so why is he back in jail? Turns out, the athlete was on probation for a marijuana charge at the time of his arrest. But according to his attorney, there is no proof to indicate that the probation has been violated. “A judge in Washington — after he had a full hearing in which the state of Washington called witnesses, including a law enforcement official — found no probable cause…In this particular case, [Jerramy Stevens] should not be held without bond — he shouldn’t even have his probation violated.”

The good news for Hope is, her husband has already been released, due to a former decision stating that he had been arrested without cause. However, the offered the following words of warning: “They could still technically call this witness that you allegedly assaulted and make them testify. I’m not saying they’re going to do that. I’m not saying they’re even going to move forward with the probation issue. So do not get any false impressions.”

Basically, that means we haven’t heard the end of the legal woes of Jerramy Stevens and Hope Solo.
