Recently, we learned that Kim Kardashian, star of Keeping Up With The Kardashians was pushing estranged husband, Kris Humphries to agree to a settlement concerning their divorce. And as legal proceedings inch closer, a resolution may be just around the corner for Kim, which would enable her to move on with her life. But what about Kim’s current boyfriend, Kanye West? He has been deposed in the upcoming divorce proceedings between Kardashian and Humphries. What’s up with that? Keep reading for all the details.
According to the Inquisitr, Kanye has been dragged into the middle of Kim’s divorce. But why? Rumor has it Kanye will likely have to testify as to when his relationship with Kim began because of allegations that he and Kim “became intimately involved before she filed for a divorce from Humphries.” But Kim is expected to deny any such claims during the court proceedings.
Kim is seeking a traditional divorce because of irreconcilable differences, because her marriage to Humphries was unreasonably brief and because there is a prenuptial agreement signed by both parties. However, Humphries filed for an annulment and claims fraud. But to date, he has not submitted any evidence to the court to substantiate his claims of fraud.
While Kanye made appearances in 2010 during episodes of Kim and Kourtney Take New York, Kim and Kanye did not go public as a couple until April 2012. What do you think? Were Kim and Kanye just friends prior to April 2012? Or were they messing around during Kim’s marriage?
On Wednesday, Kim’s Attorney, Laura Wasser spoke with Superior Court judge, Stephen Maloney and stated that her client was ready to get on with her life but was “handcuffed to Humphries” because his legal team was not ready to go to trial.
Judge Maloney then addressed both sides and told them they were “required to return to court in mid-February, to either annul or dissolve” the marriage.
Tell us what you think. Is Humphries just a jilted lover holding out on the divorce for spite? Is he looking for financial gain? Or do you think his claims of fraud will hold up in court? We know you have an opinion, so post a comment, and tell us all about it.
