Last night on The X Factor, the Top 8 sang Number One Hits. Tonight, two acts are eliminated, revealing the The X Factor season two Top 6. Also, Josh Krajcik performs his new single “One Thing She’ll Never Know.” Keep reading to find out who stays, who goes, and who tops the leaderboard.
Immediately following last night’s performances, the contestants share their “fresh from the stage” feelings. Diamond White says, “My heart is kind of broken because L.A. didn’t like it.” Diamond admits that her rendition of “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” didn’t go the way she wanted it to. She’s scared.
Vino Alan shares, “This is the only time that I can think of that I would love to go do another take of a song.” L.A. Reid assures Vino that he won’t be eliminated. Carly Rose Sonenclar says she performed Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep” to prove she can do contemporary songs just as well as ballads. Fifth Harmony’s Ally knows she made her grandfather proud.
Meanwhile, Tate Stevens hopes his take on “Somebody Like You” was enough to reclaim the number one spot on the leaderboard. CeCe Frey shares, “I feel fierce. I feel strong. I’m not packing a suitcase because I’m not going anywhere.” The guys from Emblem3 say stuff like “that was dope” and “that was fun” and “we’re here to win.”
Paige Thomas admits that she’s nervous. Still, Paige thinks her risk – standing up to Demi Lovato and taking control of her performance – paid off. Fast forward to the results shows… she’s wrong.
Paige falls victim to the instant elimination. Paige shares, “I’m excited because now I get to go home and really put in some work and show everyone that I have bigger and better things to do. I’m excited for the future.”
Really, Paige? You have “bigger and better” things to do than compete for five million dollars?

Mario Lopez and Khloe Kardashian-Odom deliver the remaining results to the The X Factor hopefuls. Vino and Diamond are the bottom two and must sing for the judges. Diamond’s “save me” song is Beyonce’s “I Was Here.” Vino sings “Trouble” by Ray LaMontagne.
L.A. Reid says, “There are no two acts in this competition that I would rather not have to vote between. I really sincerely love both of them. I’m deeply shocked that we’re even in this position, but I have to send home the beautiful Diamond.” Britney Spears sends home Vino.
Demi sends home Vino. Simon Cowell makes a sour face and says, “I feel exactly the same as L.A. I really do like both of these singers and both really sang well in that sing off.” But, in the end, Simon sends home Vino.
Vino is shocked to be going home. Khloe attempts to introduce Vino’s goodbye video, though her microphone is turned off. Have the powers that be finally come to their senses? Pretty please?!
L.A. tells Vino, “You’ve come this far in the competition. Every moment of this competition, I’ve been proud of you. I’m really happy to call you family at this point in my life. It’s all good.”
What’s not good – Khloe is allowed to speak again. The X Factor sound people are just messing with us.
