Dez Duron bid a fond farewell to NBC’s, The Voice, and coach Christina Aguilera after his untimely elimination. Take the leap to find out what Duron had to say about Aguilera, his plans for the future and Justin Bieber.
According to In Touch, Duron spoke about his elimination from The Voice saying, “I’m surrounded by amazing vocalists in this competition. Anybody could go home every week.” He added, “My goal was to go out there and put my heart out on the stage and give a great performance.”
Now that Duron has been eliminated, what’s next for him? Making a Dez album. I think [Christina’s] definitely preparing me for that,” he said. “I think that’s why we never skated away from risks, like singing a Bieber song. I’m a fan of the Biebs!”
Although Duron’s rendition of Justin Bieber’s, “U Smile” failed to impress America enough to keep him in the competition, his coach, Christina Aguilera gave him positive feedback following his performance. And while we’re all curious what Bieber thought of the performance, Duron said, “I haven’t looked to see if he tweeted or anything like that. He has a great song and obviously, ‘Thank you for letting me borrow that for a little while, Biebs,’ I appreciate that.”
Sadly, Duron was the last remaining member of Team Christina, so now that he’s been eliminated, what does that mean for Aguilera? What will she do for the remainder of the season? “I’m going to kick my feet up on my little chair,” Christina said. “I’m excited to be entertained, and of course I will be in support of who’s the most impressive. And of course, my time will also be occupied with the holidays coming up, keeping in touch with [Dez], making sure he’s good and handled and taken care of.”
