Fleetwood Mac frontwoman and American Idol mentor, Stevie Nicks is sounding off about the cheating scandal between Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. And you may be surprised to learn she’s taking up for Stewart saying people need to give her a break. Take the jump to find out what else Nicks had to say about Stewart and her cheating on Pattinson.
According to US Magazine, Nicks has befriended Stewart and Pattinson and she believes people need to back off and give Stewart a break over the whole cheating scandal.
“I was her age once,” Nicks, 64 explained, “and exactly what happened to her happened to me two or three times, and whoever it was that I was with forgave me all two or three times.” She added, “The fact is that when you’re young and you’ve been in a relationship for a long time and something comes along that is a little bit overwhelming and magical, and you’re kind of in another situation with someone else,” she said . . . “Things happen.”
Nicks goes on to say, “People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones,” referring to the criticism Stewart suffered following the news of the affair going public. She added, “If what they [Stewart and Pattinson] have is that special they can overcome it, then good for [them].”
What do you think of Stevie Nicks’ attitude toward Stewart cheating on Pattinson? Do you agree that things happen and too much emphasis has been placed on Stewart’s wrongdoing? Do you believe cheating is the ultimate betrayal and an unforgiveable misdeed? Or are you somewhere in the middle? After all, if Rob can forgive Kristen, who are we to judge? We know you have an opinion and we’d love to hear it, so post a comment, and tell us all about it.
