Hope Solo Scores High On AskMen’s Most Desirable Woman Poll

December 12, 2012 08:00 AM by Stephanie Gustafson

2012 has been quite the year of accomplishments for Dancing with the Stars alum Hope Solo. Not only did the athlete help her team to an Olympic victory, she also managed to publish a memoir and get married (although, given her husband’s criminal record, we’re not sure how much an accomplishment that one is). Now, Hope Solo has managed to snag herself a respectable ranking of number 30 in AskMen’s Most Desirable Woman contest. Not bad!

As far as we’re concerned, Hope Solo is the most accomplished celeb on this year’s list of most desirable women. Those participating in the AskMen poll apparently agree, as the soccer star’s athleticism was cited as a major reason for her presence on the list. A brief blurb provided by the website explained that, “2012 was much like 2008 for Hope Solo as she backboned the U.S. Olympic women’s soccer team to another gold medal. 2008 was all about redemption for this goalkeeper, but in 2012 it was all about reinforcing herself as one of the brightest stars in the game. Not only did she register three shutouts in the Olympic tournament but also rescued Team USA in the final against Japan, making numerous miraculous saves in their 2-1 gold medal win.”

Hope’s athletic abilities are not the only factor landing her on the most desirable woman list. Her habit of speaking before thinking must also be endearing, or at least it is according to AskMen readers. After detailing her athletic accomplishments, the blurb went on to posit the question, “Who can forget the viral quote she gave before the tournament when she publicly stated that “there’s lots of sex” happening in the Olympic Village?”

We’re glad to see Hope Solo ranking high on the AskMen poll for Most Desirable Woman. Would you have voted for Hope? Tell us what you think in the comments section below!
