Recently, we learned the Grammys snubbed Justin Bieber and now he’s speaking out in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres. Plus, The X Factor guest judge confirms that he’s got a new acoustic album coming out soon. Take the jump for more details…
According to MTV, much like his manager, Scooter Braun, Bieber admits he wasn’t very happy about being snubbed by the Grammys. “I was looking forward to [possible Grammy noms], but I know it will happen one day.” Bieber told Ellen.
Bieber’s latest album, “Believe” was released in June and has since produced two top 10 hits, “Boyfriend” and “As Long As You Love Me.” And while the songs on this album projected a more grown up image of the pop star, they failed to secure him a Grammy nomination. Bieber admits it was a “big bummer” for him.
“I’m so young. I’m only 18,” he said. “I’m just blessed to be able to do what I lover every day. And the AMAs were a lot of fun for me so… Hopefully, one day,” he said.
In the meantime, Bieber’s got other something else to think about; he has an acoustic album due to release in January. “It’s something the fans really like,” Bieber said referring to unplugged versions of his hit songs. “Because I started out on YouTube just playing my guitar, just singing without all the production, so I like to just put out acoustic albums. I think it’s more intimate.”
While the Biebs didn’t reveal a title for the upcoming acoustic album or give a list of the tracks, we know it will be awesome.
