The cheftestants are tasked with cooking for one of the hottest sports teams in Seattle on the Bravo reality TV series. Host Padma Lakshmi makes her first appearance on roller skates while one chef pushes eveyone to their limits on Top Cheff: Seattle. Plus the foodies harvest oysters and then prepare them for judge Emeril Lagasse.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Emmy and James Beard Award-winning series that is sure to have lots of drama this season! The winning chef will receive $125,000 furnished by Healthy Choice, a feature in Food & Wine magazine, a showcase at the Annual Food & Wine Classic in Aspen and will earn the title of “Top Chef.”
The contestants are Lizzie Binder from Napa; Micah Fields from Los Angeles; John Tesar from Dallas; Joshua Valentine from Oklahoma City; Kristen Kish from Boston; Brooke Williamson from Los Angeles; Sheldon Simeon from Hawaii; Josie Smith-Malave from Miami; Stefan Richter from Finland; and Bart Vandaele from Washington D.C.
The competition is heating up as the contestants put their culinary skills to the test. It takes a mix of personality, knowledge and skills to win the coveted title of Top Chef and everyone is eyeing it up! This week, the cheftestants serve up fare for the Rat City Rollergirls but first the remaining contestants partake in the Quickfire. The hopefuls all harvest oysters and then serve them up for Emeril. While out in the open air, the chefs unwind and enjoy collecting and eating oysters. Five chefs cook hot dishes and five cook cold dishes. The prize on the table is $5,000 and the winner is Micah Fields.
In the Elimination Challenge, the chefs pair up in a head-to-head battle to cook dishes for Seattle’s Rat City Rollergirls. The cheftestants work to create unique and delicious dishes. Hugh Acheson joins Emeril Lagasse and head judge Tom Colicchio at the roller-rink.
At the judges table, John and Brooke are selected as the winners. Two teams are in the bottom: Bart and Josie along with Josh and Sheldon. In the end, the judges eliminate Bart Vandaele.
