Lady Gaga Offers Little Monsters Free Counseling

December 31, 2012 02:00 PM by Donna W. Martin

Former So You Think You Can Dance guest judge, Lady Gaga has a new tour coming up, the Born This Way Ball tour. And when the tour kicks off on January 11 in Vancouver fans can expect to get more than just a concert; Gaga is offering free counseling to those who want some one-on-one time with a therapist. Keep reading for more details.

According to MTV, Lady Gaga announced over the weekend that there would be a BornBrave Bus parked outside concert locations prior to tour dates to help “take the stigma out of getting help.” Gaga said the BornBrave Bus would be “a place where mental health + depression are taken seriously w/ no judgment, FREE real help available to all.” She added, “I feel like most kids don’t look for help because they feel embarrassed so mom + I wanted to break the stigmas around ‘help’ and make it fun,” she wrote.

“For those wondering about the ‘counseling’ at the BTWBall BornBrave pre-show, it will be a fun tailgating experience for monsters to unite,” she tweeted. “At the BornBrave Bus you have access to professional private or group chats about mental health, depression, bullying, school & friends … #BornBraveBus there will also be food and games, @djws and @ladystarlightny will DJ with host @BREEDLOVENYC to keep the experience fun.”

The BornBrave Bus mental health assistance is the latest addition to a wide range of services offered by the super star. Lady Gaga and her mother, Cynthia Germanotta launched the Born This Way Foundation earlier this year in February, which helps teens deal with abandonment and bullying issues.

Keep up the good work, Gaga!

I love you gaga.Iv’e been struggling with depression since I was 14. I still am til this day its hard because there isnt any free help everything has a price. I hear people make fun of bipolar everyday Ive learned to laugh about it myself . I go by this saying I truly beleive iN. (THOSE WHO MIND DONT MATTER & THOSE WHO MATTER DONT MIND)I only wish I could go to one of your shows I would help some of these kids to get on the bus and not listen to people that will have remarks because there will always be negative people.
