Love in the Wild host, Jenny McCarthy has a new late-night show coming out. The Jenny McCarthy Project was inspired by Hugh Hefner’s 1960’s syndicated television show, Playboy After Dark and promises to bring sexy back to late-night television. Keep reading for more details.
According to The Inquisitr, McCarthy said, “What is missing in late night — to me — is a bit of sexiness. Not that Jay Leno is not sexy, but I feel like the template that I talked about is Playboy After Dark. What I love that Hugh Hefner did was kind of have this sexy, after hours party but also have really great conversations with his guests. That was really my goal … trying to incorporate that kind of sexiness with having really great conversations with celebrities.”
While McCarthy said she could have “rocked” a daytime show, she admits she’d rather her show have the sexy playfulness of Hefner’s Playboy After Dark. “While I consider myself to be a mother warrior, BFF, naughty girlfriend, I can’t pigeonhole myself as being a good girl,” she said.
We expect McCarthy’s show will be anything but boring and to maintain total spontaneity, she doesn’t plan to pre-interview any of her guests. Instead, she plans such things as the “ground breaking interview” where she talks to her guests while they both lie on the ground. And a game called “Drunk, Dumb, or Both” where she asks men outside a bar probing questions such as, “What color is a red boat?”
The Jenny McCarthy Project is set to premiere February 8 at 10:30 pm Eastern time on VH1.
What do you think of McCarthy’s upcoming show? Do you think it will be funny? Sexy? Or just stupid? And do you plan to watch it? Post a comment and let us know.
