Lindsay Lohan Makes Court Appearance In Connection With Nightclub Fight

January 07, 2013 10:09 AM by Donna W. Martin

It’s another day of reckoning for Punk’d star, Lindsay Lohan as she makes yet another appearance in court. This time, Lohan is set to appear in a New York criminal court in connection with a November 29 altercation with psychic Tiffany Mitchell. Take the jump for more details.

According to CNN, Lohan was charged with misdemeanor assault in the early morning hours of November 29, 2012 following a nightclub fight with psychic Tiffany Mitchell.

Mitchell alleges she had a premonition about Lohan so she approached the “Liz & Dick” star and offered her a free reading. But Lohan declined and told Mitchell “give me my space.”

Mitchell then alleges Lohan called her a “f*cking gypsy.” The slur caused on of Mitchell’s friends to get angry and words were exchanged, then Lohan got up and punched Mitchell in the face.

Lohan’s Lawyer, Mark Keller believes Lohan is innocent and Mitchell is just trying to get her name in the headlines. He told the Daily News, “Once again, Lindsay Lohan is a victim of someone trying to capture their 15 minutes of fame” and added that Lohan was not drunk during the altercation with Mitchell.

The prosecutor plans to pursue a case against Lohan for assaulting Mitchell.

However, the New York case is just the first for Lohan this month. She has another court appearance scheduled for January 15 where she will face probation violation.

Lohan was on probation following a 2011 conviction for stealing a necklace. Then in June of 2012, she was involved in a car crash but when questioned, she lied to the police about being behind the wheel at the time of the accident. The police later learned the truth and charged her with three misdemeanors, obstructing or resisting a police officer, providing false information to a police officer, and reckless driving.

During the January 15 hearing, a judge will make the determination if Lohan violated her probation. If the judge finds that Lohan did violate her probation, she could face up to 245 days in jail.

The year 2013 isn’t looking so good for Lohan, is it? Do you think she will get a smack on the wrist for punching Mitchell in the face? Or should she get some jail time? Post a comment and let us know.
