As you may have noticed during last night’s premiere of The Bachelor, Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte was not given the honor of having hordes of attractive women fight over his washboard abs. And we still have yet to learn if the popular athlete will be making an appearance on Dancing with the Stars. But Ryan did get a consolation prize in the form of the upcoming reality series What Would Ryan Lochte Do?
What would Ryan Lochte do? We’re guessing that, when in doubt, he’d take off his shirt. It seems to have been the logical answer thus far, and look what it’s landed him: eleven Olympic medals and his very own reality series! That’s right folks, after making his interest in The Bachelor and Dancing with the Stars crystal clear, Ryan Lochte managed to snag his very own TV show.
During the six-episode docuseries (scheduled to premiere in April), we’ll get to see Ryan Lochte doing what he does best: training for the 2016 Olympics and, uh, working on his fashion line. Did we forget to mention that, in addition to becoming the next big reality star, Ryan’s planning to take on the fashion industry?
In addition to showing us Ryan’s professional pursuits, What Would Ryan Lochte Do? will also provide a glimpse into the Olympian’s love life. Despite what his mom has claimed in the past, Ryan really is not all that interested in one-night stands — and he’s setting out to prove it with the release of his new show.
Dating, swimming, designing…what more could you want? Well, talent would be nice, but at this point, Ryan Lochte’s an old hat at television. In addition to his multiple Olympic showings, the athlete has shared his fashion expertise with E! and appeared as a guest star on 30 Rock. He’s obviously ready to take reality TV by storm!
