Piers Morgan And Alex Jones Continue Skirmish Via Twitter

January 09, 2013 02:31 PM by Stephanie Gustafson

Did you think the crazy debate between America’s Got Talent alum Piers Morgan and shock jock Alex Jones would be over after Alex Jones’ interview ended? Well, you thought wrong! Shortly after an explosive segment on Piers Morgan Nightly, both Piers and Alex took to Twitter to continue their spat.

Piers Morgan and Alex Jones are still at it…and their battle is documented on Twitter! Shortly after having radio host and firearms advocate Alex Jones on his show, Piers Morgan took to Twitter to comment, “Comforting that @RealAlexJones personally owns 50 firearms, isn’t it…..” The next day, when Alex Jones’ rant was blowing up Twitter, Piers quipped, “So @RealAlexJones still trending worldwide following our ‘interview’ – the best advert for gun control yet.”

Not to be outdone, Alex Jones also continued the meltdown debate via Twitter. In a tweet that we can only assume also referred to the Pier Morgan encounter, Alex tweeted, “You’re [sic] life will have value, the moment you commit to protecting truth.” He later included Piers’ Twitter handle in the mix, tweeting, “Guns aren’t the problem, it’s Greedy globalists & twats like @piersmorgan that have hijacked our country.” And earlier today, Jones took to the social media platform to accuse Pier Morgan of being, “an ex-talent show judge fired for yellow journalism.”

In addition to tweeting their thoughts, Alex Jones and Piers Morgan have been busy retweeting comments from their followers.   Many of Piers Morgans retweets were actually arguments in favor of Alex Jones, to which Piers was happy to provide clipped commentary and altogether amusing responses.

We’re guessing that the Piers Morgan vs Alex Jones debate won’t be over for awhile. Alex has asked Piers to take part in a moderated debate, either on his radio show, on Piers’ TV show or at an alternative venue. It’ll be interesting to see if Piers takes him up on the offer.
