Survivor Caramoan: Fans Versus Favorites Cast Revealed

January 11, 2013 03:00 PM by Lisa Princ

The season finale of Survivor just wrapped up a month ago, but many fans are anxiously awaiting the show’s return next month. Today, CBS announced the new cast for Survivor Caramoan, which will feature super-fans and favorite contestants from past seasons! Who will be fighting for the coveted one million dollar prize?

If you can’t wait for the new season of Survivor to start, unfortunately, you have to wait until February 13 for the premiere, but we have some good news. CBS announced this morning the list of competitors for the upcoming season. Check out the press release from CBS:

“The spring edition of SURVIVOR will feature the return of one of the game’s greatest pairings: Fans vs. Favorites. Ten ultimate SURVIVOR fans will have the chance to prove they have what it takes when they take on 10 of their favorite players from the past. Dropped on the exotic Caramoan Islands, the 20 castaways will be divided into two tribes of 10: ‘The Bikal Tribe,’ made up of former players deemed favorites, and ‘The Gota Tribe,’ comprised of ultimate fans of the game.

The Favorites may have an edge because of their experience, but they also have a big target on their backs. Meanwhile, the Fans, although inexperienced, can draw on their extensive knowledge of the game to give them an advantage. Who will prevail when these tribes collide and the castaways vie to outwit, outplay and outlast one another for the title of Sole Survivor and the one million dollar prize?”

my entire family really like this show, but we are getting tired of seeing return players every season when there are so many people that want to play. Why always have old players and not give more people a chance to have some fun. this will most likely be my family’s last season to watch until the old players are done coming back. which is sad cause like I said my entire family watches or use to watch and we would call each other during the commercials and discuss the show. we all live in different states so it was something fun for us to do.

My family also loves survivor, but getting tired
of return players. These people had their chance
and lost. Let them stay lost. Give us new blood.
    thank you.

There actually aren’t that many people who actually want to play. The reason they keep bringing old players back is they can’t get enough unique, fresh contestants. They’ve actually had to resort to casting for some seasons, as they don’t get enough eligible applicants.
