Ann Romney Turns Down Dancing With The Stars

January 14, 2013 09:03 AM by Lisa Princ

With the new season of Dancing with the Stars quickly approaching, fans are starting to get curious about who will be competing this time around. While we have heard about a few celebrities that would like to join the cast, we know one that we will not see lacing up her dance shoes – Ann Romney!

Despite the fact that Ann Romney, the wife of Mitt Romney, may be a huge fan of Dancing With The Stars, we will definitely not be watching her compete on the show. According to TMZ, Ann was offered a chance to compete on the upcoming season of DWTS shortly after her husband lost the election, and at the time, Ann Romney showed some good interest in possibly competing.

However, since that time, Romney has turned down the opportunity to show us her dance moves. “Ann Romney was approached, but she declined. She will not be appearing on Dancing with the Stars,” a rep for Romney told TMZ. Bummer. But if you’re a fan of Ann Romney, don’t worry, we may see her in the audience just as we did last season.

As for those who are interested, we know a couple of reality stars who would love to compete – both Emily Maynard and Michael Stagliano recently expressed their interest.

Are you disappointed that Ann Romney turned down a chance to do Dancing With The Stars? Or perhaps you are glad that we will not see her competing? We know you have an opinion and we want to hear it. Comment below to share your thoughts with us!
