Here Comes Honey Boo Boo fans have had a tough time of it lately, what with their show having been on hiatus. The holiday specials help, of course, but we still have a while to go before the regular season returns. The good news is, the show is returning, as June Shannon was happy to point out on her Facebook page.
When fans of hit TLC show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo learned of a Honey Boo Boo ban, some immediately worried that they would no longer be seeing their favorite redneck. Fortunately, the ban has nothing to do with Alana Thompson — instead, Crazy Tony is being banned from the show. Tony appeared on a November episode, during which he got wasted and dressed up in a gorilla suit. Mama June decided that she didn’t want that type of behavior on a family show and that Crazy Tony just wasn’t a good fit.
The show itself is doing better than ever, with a record number of viewers tuning in for the holiday specials. June Shannon confirmed via Facebook that there are two more specials in the works: “Oh k we got the confirmed message this afternoon our other specials the best of clip show from first season will air January 27th and then our Christmas special will b on February 10..”
Best of all, the regular season will return this spring! “then our season 2 will start in may sometime but don’t have a official date yet it will b 12 30 minute episodes we r still production filming them now…”
June Shannon ended her Facebook message with a few quick words of appreciation. “We just wait to thank u all for supporting us and letting us into your homes …”
