Lindsay Lohan’s latest court date was set for January 15 where the Punk’d star was supposed to face three misdemeanor charges stemming from a car crash last June. And while Lohan didn’t show up, her attorney entered a plea of not guilty on her behalf. What’s next? Keep reading for more details.
According to FOX, attorney Shawn Chapman Holley, who Lohan had previously fired, was on hand to represent the troubled star and the judge took note asking Holley if she would be representing Lohan moving forward. “Yes. At this point, yes,” she said.
At this point? It sounds like she’s not so sure herself. A source close to the situation said, “It’s a big mistake if Lindsay loses Shawn. But the bad blood is there now. She was the one person on Lindsay’s team who stood by her.”
Nonetheless, Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Jane Godfrey said any problems and confusion regarding Lohan’s representation must be worked out prior to future court dates. “The representation will be nailed down,” Holley said.
Holley entered a plea of not guilty on Lohan’s behalf to the charges of obstructing or resisting a police officer, providing false information to a police officer, and reckless driving.
The judge ordered Lohan to personally appear at a pre-trial hearing on January 30, and set a court date of February 10 for a probation violation hearing. If the judge determines Lohan’s actions violated her probation, she could face up to 245 days in jail.
Maybe Lohan will actually make an appearance at the January 30 court date but we aren’t holding our breath. Will she ever receive just punishment for her crimes? Or will she simply get another slap on the wrist and be off to her next set of shenanigans? We know you have an opinion and we want to hear it so sound off in the comments section and tell us what you think.
