LeAnn Rimes has faced a barrage of negative publicity lately. After paring up with Eddie Cirbrian, the star went to rehab to deal with “Emotional issues”. Following her resurgence, she had a lackluster performance on The X Factor, which led fans to wonder if LeAnn was sober for the event. In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, LeAnn opens up about life, love, and her struggle with suicidal thoughts.
LeAnn Rimes admitted in her latest sit-down interview with Entertainment Tonight that she battled a host of emotional problems during her stint in rehab, including suicidal thoughts. The singer explains that being a celebrity takes it’s toll, and most celebrities battle with thoughts of self-harm. When asked if she thought about ending her life, LeAnn said, “Of course, I think anybody could.” Rimes added, “I think any smart person would know that it is always a possibility that you could always get that sad and deep. I worried that was a possibility, [but] I know I would never.”
Many people warned LeAnn of her new man, saying, “Once a cheater, always a cheater.” And LeAnn admitted that she deals with trust issues as well. When asked if she thought Eddie would cheat on her, she said, “I would be ignorant to say – and everyone else would think I am a liar – if I didn’t say yes, and I have at times. Speaking for him, I would actually say that’s creeped into his [mind]. …I think we’ve been very honest and open with that to each other and our conversations about it have only made me understand how much he actually cares, as much as I do, about being faithful to each other.”
When asked about the feud between Brandi Glanville and LeAnn, Rimes said it’s a very “Once sided” argument, and that she always strives to put the boys first. “My heart overflows with love for those two boys. I look at them and they are two little spitting images of my husband.” She went on to say, “They’re with us half the time – I am never going to let a child walk into my house and not feel the love that they feel at their mom’s house. …I’m going to be a part of that love, that intense love.”
