Keep reading to find out!
Selena Gomez has navigated her way through a mess of hate from Justin Bieber fans during and after her break-up. Now that she’s single, however, she seems to be gaining a fresh perspective on life. During a concert this weekend, Selena alluded that there may be more to the situation than we think.
“I’ve been through a lot the past few months. It’s been weird and sad and cool. This song definitely speaks to me.” Selena said shortly before singing the cryptic tune, “Cry Me A River”. The hit was originally made famous by Justin Timberlake as a poke at Britney Spears, but Justin Bieber performed the song just a month ago at a concert! Selena sang the number accompanied by an acoustic guitar, putting an incredible amount of feeling behind the song. One source said to US Weekly, “She seemed SO angry.”
Selena also opened up about her BFF, Taylor Swift. “Taylor is one of the most inspirational, positive, good-hearted people I know. I met her when she was 18…it was absolutely incredible to see someone so successful and so humble. I think she’s been a big part of me staying who I am, too.”
The star also went on to discuss her newest appearance in the movie Spring Breakers. “It’s kind of been refreshing and nice for me to step out of my comfort zone and do things that I didn’t think I could do as an actress.”
She also talked about her new album, saying she’s shedding the good-girl act. “I’m a little bit more mouthy [now]. I’m a little bit older. I’ve got a little more sass. [I'm] telling a lot more, too.”
And as Selena seems to be the queen of cryptic messages, she added, “Everything happens for a reason, so enjoy every moment.”
