After losing Cate last week we knew that as a team we could not afford to slack off and we were committed to doing anything it took. Dolvett would give it to us and we would just take it—at least that was the plan. Of course, the trainers come to the ranch and let us know that they will be gone for the week and its up to us to make it happen. Well, there goes our plan!
Action Jackson takes over the red team for the week and leads all of our workouts. I decide to workout with every single team. Knowing that I had lost 100lbs prior to the show, always makes me nervous. I know how much harder it is for me to lose weight and my fear is always plateauing—yet again. I want to give myself the best shot at a decent number. So why not take in a little bit from Jillian and Bob and what they have taught their teams? It’s called maximizing your resources! I work out with my team but also with every other team. I am playing no games. I will have a good number!
This week’s challenge is running a 5K and I am thinking “Great, 3.1 miles, in the sun, it is hot, and we are all plump. It’s a recipe for disaster.” I mean I was just thinking how many people barfed and fainted during the week 1 workout, so I was assuming it was about to get crazy! We all ended up doing so well. We finished, all of us, and that’s the most important part. WOW! To think we were part of a race and actually won something makes me realize that there is so much more in store for all of us. I’m not going to lie, I was pretty proud of myself for coming in 4th. Being the plumpest girl did not stop me haha.
Going into elimination I am pretty nervous. This is always the worst and best moment. You want to know if your hard work paid off but you know someone is going home and this is heartbreaking. The “real world” is much harder and you always wonder if that person is ready.
The red team ends up doing very well so we are all safe and I am very happy. Not only did we do it on our own without Dolvett but one of our team mates was able to take the lead. Jackson was able to prove to himself that he could do for himself at home and that’s key. At some point, we will all be leaving the ranch and it is up to us to make it happen.
The white team loses the weigh-in and I am completely shocked. PammyPooh had done everything right. It surprised me to see a 3lbs lost. I mean I literally did everything the white team did so how could Danni and I have the same weight loss and not Pammy? Lesson learned! When it comes to weight loss, you put in the work but it may take some time to show. It does not mean you should give up. It means work harder! I will miss you PammyPooh! You are amazing and the ranch will not be the same without you. You truly are something special.
I lost 6lbs this week! Heres to week 5, Im ready for you!
