Super Bowl 2013: Beyonce’s Backstage Video Teaser

February 02, 2013 02:00 PM by Stephanie Gustafson

While the main attraction of the Super Bowl is football, there’s always quite a few viewers who turn in solely for the commercials and the halftime show. This year, the guest of honor is former American Idol guest star Beyonce Knowles. Following the massive drama that surrounded her lip-syncing at President Obama’s inauguration, Beyonce is working hard to ensure a picture-perfect Super Bowl performance.

It’s time to get excited — Beyonce’s big Super Bowl show is only two days away! There’s been plenty of hype surrounding the upcoming performance, but Beyonce is only adding fuel to the fire with the release of two short preview videos. The first video focused on the dancers taking part in the halftime show, while a more recently released second promo looks at the backup singers and the band.

While there aren’t too many spoilers dropped in the Super Bowl backstage video, it looks like one of the featured songs will be the hit single End of Time. Three of Beyonce’s backup singers were shown performing a lovely a capella rendition of the song, and that’s a good a hint as any.

Another thing we know for sure about Beyonce’s Super Bowl performance: the diva will be singing live. In a recent press conference, Beyonce announced that she “will absolutely be singing live,” adding, “I am well-rehearsed. This is what I was born to do.”

Are you excited for Sunday’s halftime show? And do you have any Beyonce songs that you’re hoping will make the cut? Feel free to share your thoughts and predictions in the comments section below! And don’t forget to check out the Super Bowl rehearsal video!
