Uh oh. Cee Lo Green, Mentor on The Voice, is being accused of some pretty hefty charges. After signing up to perform two concerts over Christmas this year, Cee Lo pulled out. The management company is none to happy and admits they lost some BIG money in the deal. Keep reading for the details!
Cee Lo Green was liked by many fans on the singing competition The Voice. It seems that his people, however, may have some tricks up their sleeves. Cierra Management is claiming that Cee Lo Green and his crew were negotiating a Christmas concert tour. Cee Lo’s people wanted $100,000 per performance, including expenses. The group originally wanted 12 shows, but when it came down to brass tax, Cierra couldn’t afford it. They spliced the tour down to six performances, and then two. Cierra Management finally came to agreement over a two night deal-to the tune of $245,000.
Unfortunately, the concerts never happened. What’s worse is that Cierra is claiming that Cee Lo’s group NEVER INTENDED to perform the agreed upon shows. While Cee Lo isn’t named as a conspirator, Cierra claims that Cee Lo’s people knowingly scammed them out of the $245,000; and Cee Lo made matters worse by refusing to perform.
The lawsuit is asking for an incredible 14.2 million, and claims that the whole thing was “A scheme designed to finagle funding capital for concerts they knew would not manifest.”
Cee Lo’s team has been reached for comment, however, they’ve remained silent on the whole ordeal.
Do you think Cierra will get the money? Let us know in the comments!
