Say it isn’t true… So You Think You Can Dance guest judge, Christina Applegate is leaving Up All Night. What happened that made her say goodbye to the show? Keep reading to find out.
According to E! News, Applegate has struggled with the changes that were being made to the show and eventually decided it was time to move on. “It’s been a great experience working on Up All Night but the show has taken a different creative direction,” she said, “and I decided it was best for me to move on to other endeavors. Working with Lorne Michaels has been a dream come true and I am grateful he brought me into his TV family. I will miss the cast, producers and crew, and wish them the best always.”
But the changes in the show aren’t the only thing that has had Applegate up in arms. In fact, she has had a little reluctance about it since the very beginning. Even before the show debuted in September 2011, she admitted that she had serious reservations about joining the show because she had just given birth to real life daughter, Sadie, who is now 2-years-old. “As you saw, that’s all the time I got to see my baby today,” she said during a break on the Up All Night set. “And that’s it. So that’s the part that really still to this day is like, ‘Uggggh’… I’ll get to see her for a minute here and a minute there, and then it’s nap time and she has to go home.”
What do you think of Applegate leaving Up All Night? Do you think the show will be the same without her? Will you continue to watch? We know you have an opinion and we want to hear it so sound off in the comments section below and tell us all about it.
