On Thursday night’s episode of Project Runway, Cindy failed to deliver a dress worthy of Heidi Klum and as a result was eliminated from the competition. Keep reading to see what Cindy had to say about leaving the show.
According to Lifetime, Cindy said her elimination made her feel “kind of numb – just very, very sad.” But it was okay she said, “I couldn’t stand up on that runway one more time, it’s too terrifying.”
“It is a great accomplishment for me to have made it onto Project Runway and I’m really happy that I did and I think that there will be great benefits to me. It’s given me name recognition that would have taken me years to achieve.”
And even though she can’t continue on in the competition, she said the exposure of the show “will still give me a big boost to get my business started.”
“The most valuable part I’ve taken away from this experience is meeting Tim Gunn. He is such a kind, generous spirit and he has mentored me through school even though he doesn’t know it.” In a tearful goodbye she let Tim know how much he meant to her. “Tim, it was because of you that my life has changed and I am a fashion designer,” she said.
“I’m sad about not staying in the competition longer,” she explained. “I wanted to soak up as much of the experience as I could, learn as much as I could from the other designers, and Tim’s input, and just be exposed to so much of the fashion industry. That was my goal in coming here.”
What did you think of Cindy’s design? Do you think her dress was the worst on Team Dream Team? Or should someone else have been sent home? We know you have an opinion so let us hear it by posting a comment below.
