Carrie Underwood rocked the stage at last night’s Grammy Awards with her solo performance of her hit song, Blown Away, but that’s not exactly what has fans talking this morning. Despite donning a light up gown, it was actually the American Idol alum’s $31 million necklace has everyone buzzing today!
While it is usually the beautiful gowns that get all the buzz the morning after the Grammy Awards, that is not the case for Country superstar, Carrie Underwood. Instead, Underwood has become the talk of the Awards show for her bling last night. While most ladies love to amp up their gowns with some beautiful jewelry, Underwood decided to take it up a couple notches (okay a couple million) last night, complimenting her black strapless Roberto Cavalli dress with a $31 million necklace.
The stunning sparkler was designed by Johnathon Arndt, and according to a press release: “featured 381 carats of oval, pearl, marquis and brilliant white diamonds.” Wow, talk about some serious bling! Carrie Underwood even joked about the necklace, claiming that it was: “worth more than I am.” Meanwhile, Underwood then took the stage for a performance of Blown Away and Two Black Cadillacs donning a light up gown, definitely earning her the unique award.
