The Biggest Loser’s Francelina Morillo Talks Romance On The Ranch

February 19, 2013 04:08 PM by Lisa Princ

Last night on The Biggest Loser, our guest blogger, Francelina Morillo and fellow contestant, Jeff Nichols revealed a budding romance. Sadly, just as quickly as we learned of the romance, was as quickly as Francelina was eliminated. In an interview with reporters today, Francelina dished on her romance with Jeff, and of course, her experience on the show!

Many viewers were disappointed last night when Francelina Morillo was eliminated, shortly after she and Jeff Nichols revealed their romance. Today, Francelina was not down and out about her elimination, instead she remained positive as she dished on what her future holds. Check out Francelina’s interview below!

On why The Biggest Loser has more successful relationships than most other reality shows (sorry Bachelor fans, but it’s true):
I definitely believe it and agree with it. I think it’s because you get to see the person at their worst, and then watch them blossom and grow. You learn to appreciate and admire them in a different way. With Jeff and myself, we shared a common bond – both of our fathers passed away, and both had tumors. On the show, we got to watch each other blossom, and we learned to appreciate each other. Right now, we’re working out together, and we’re motivating each other until the end.

On her future with Jeff and why she loves working out with him:
It’s definitely new, but we have something special. I found a bond with him that I haven’t had with anyone else. I’ve had long term relationships in the past, and I’ve always felt that something was missing. On the ranch I found out that it was me. I didn’t love myself, and now I love myself. I have very good hopes for he and I.

You know, listening to him and the way that he dealt with his experience, it gave me hope about myself. It’s such a unique experience when you watch someone, it’s like looking in the mirror when I look at him.

What’s so great about working out with Jeff, is that it’s so much easier when you have the support of someone else who knows exactly what you’re going through. Finale is really close and we want to look our best.

Whether or not Francelina was disappointed to go home:
Of course, I was like “oh no, I am not going home,” but at the same time, I knew that I gathered the tools there while other did not. I didn’t want to take that from anyone else. The people that stayed… they needed to work on a few things, but I was ready to face the world. That week, I did everything right and still only lost 2 lbs. I was not that disappointed because I knew I gave it my all.

On everyone referring to her as a motivator:
I didn’t do it intentionally, it just happened. I was the biggest girl there, and I was always running – just always moving. So then people thought they should be doing the same thing. It hurt me more to have to leave them than to not be The Biggest Loser. I felt like family to them.

Francelina on her constant positive energy:
Prior to the ranch, I had lost 100 pounds, and most of it I lost out of anger, and being negative. I promised myself if I got on the show, I would be positive. I gave it my all from day one, and that’s just me, the new me is positive. I surround myself with positive people and positive energy. That is where I radiate from now.

On how the tough trainers seem to affect everyone differently:
I think everyone’s experience on the ranch was different. I mean, not everyone responds positively to the negative enforcement of someone in your face during a workout. Different workout styles work different for people. Also, you have 15 different personalities working out, and they all want to eat. Yeah, personalities are going to clash, but everyone there is awesome.

How her eating habits have changed:
It has changed drastically. Before, I was a compulsive binger. I was eating healthy but I was binging. Now I know portion size, if you have too much of a good thing it can also be bad. My relationship with food was bad, and fact that I was dealing with anxiety over things with food. Now, everything has changed, I’ve come a long way. I love making salads, and fruits with peanut butter. I love making different things.

Her future plans on going to medical school:
Right now, I am focusing mostly on the finale, but I have everything in order to move on with medical school. This time around, I have all the confidence in the world to make it.

Best of luck to Francelina Morillo – we can’t wait to see you at the finale!
