Nicki Minaj has many creative outlets. Not only does she have her songs, music videos, clothing and cosmetic lines, and her spot as a judge on American Idol, now, she continues to expand her brand beyond music by joining the ranks of Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Nick Jonas as the latest celebrity to be featured in Bluewater Comic’s special edition, ‘Fame.’ Keep reading for more details.
According to Vibe, Bluewater launched the ‘Fame’ series in 2010 as a companion piece to the ‘Female Force’ and ‘Political Power’ biography titles. The intent of the new series was to delve into celebrity culture and give fans insight into the person’s life and how that person rose to fame.
Nicki’s comic will begin with a look at her as a child growing up, and then moves to her career as it develops and progresses on her road to becoming a pop star.
The comic description reads, “From her humble beginnings in Jamaica to her humble upbringing in Queens New York to her spotlight alongside high profile judges on the Panel of American Idol (including her infamous feuding with Mariah Carey.) Nicki Minaj came to conquer, to win, and she did. Bluewater Comics introduces the latest in its popular ‘Fame’ series, which focuses on the lives of celebrities. Join writer Michael Trot and artist Jill Lamarina as they explore the life and times of mega hip Hop talent Nicki Minaj.”
The Nicki Minaj comic book is available in both print and digital formats featuring Standard or Superhero Covers and ranges in price from $1.99 to $3.99 per issue. You can find them at Barnes and Noble, Google Books, iTunes, and Comic Flea Market.
