NeNe Leakes is always getting herself in one kerfuffle or another, so it’s to be expected that once again, her careless ways are making headlines. This time, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star locked her poor dog in the car and had to call emergency services to get the pooch out!
If you’ve ever locked your keys in the car, you already know just how stressful and aggravating the situation can be. Now, add a dog locked in your car as well as the keys, and you’ve really got yourself in a predicament! This is exactly the problem NeNe Leakes found herself facing this morning, when she managed to lock both her keys and her dog (incidentally, christened with the amusing name of ‘Playa’) in the car. Whoops!
This technically wasn’t a true emergency, seeing as today’s forecast for Beverly Hills is reasonably chilly. Still, it’s nice to see that NeNe shows concern for at least one living creature! Worried about her pup, the reality star flagged down a cop and asked for help in getting the car open. The police apparently had no problem getting Playa out of the car and into a very stressed-out NeNe’s arms.
No word yet from NeNe on the incident, but we do know that she absolutely adores her dog. Playa joined the family back in 2010, and although it took NeNe quite awhile to train the pup, she’s since been very happy about the family addition. Playa was originally meant to be Brentt’s dog, although NeNe appears to be the one to spend most of her time with the pooch. On her blog, NeNe confessed, “It has definitely been a challenge getting him trained, but I have to tell you, he was the cutest thing walking around in the doggie diapers!”
We’re glad that Playa is safe! Hopefully, NeNe will be a bit more careful with her keys next time!
