According to FOX, Osbourne, 28, was sitting alongside guest co-host Melissa Rivers on the set of Fashion Police when she fell ill toward the end of a one-hour taping just before noon. She told Rivers that she didn’t feel well and shortly thereafter, she fell from her chair. Rivers grabbed her and helped bring her to the floor where Osbourne started shaking.
Although she came around a few moments later, emergency personnel were alerted and an ambulance was dispatched to the scene. Osbourne was put on a stretcher and covered with sheets before being rushed to a Los Angeles hospital for testing and possible treatment.
While we’re uncertain what led to Osbourne’s collapse and subsequent seizure, a few hours after the incident, her rep told Access Hollywood that she was currently awake, alert, and in stable condition. Joan River’s confirmed the status of Osbourne’s condition. “She’s fine,” she said in a video posted later in the evening. “We just saw her.” However, as a precautionary measure, her doctors have decided to keep her overnight for observation.
According to TMZ, this is the first seizure Osbourne has ever suffered. Hopefully her doctors can determine what caused the episode and prevent additional seizures from happening in the future.
Osbourne is not the only one in her family to have had a health scare. Last year, her brother, Jack was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and her mother, Sharon successfully battled colon cancer nearly a decade ago.
