Blake Shelton Feels That He Has A Target On His Back For The New Season Of The Voice

March 10, 2013 01:00 PM by Lisa Princ

The new season of NBC’s hit The Voice is right around the corner, and this season, things will be a bit different as only two of last season’s judges will be back – Blake Shelton and Adam Levine. But, why do the changes have Blake Shelton feeling as though he has a target on his back?

Like all the fans of The Voice, Country music superstar Blake Shelton is excited about the new season, which is about two weeks away, but he also admitted that he feels like he has a target on his back this season. How so? Well, Blake explained recently to the media that with the departure of Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera, the dynamics have changed a bit, and he, as well as Adam Levine, need to step up their game.

“Adam and I have always kind of lollygagged through this thing and not taken it too seriously, just having fun with it. I’ll tell you what, we got in those blind auditions and to Shakira and Usher – it wasn’t play time,” Shelton revealed.

And it’s not just the fact that the new judges take it very seriously, but Blake wonders whether or not he would be able to win for a third time. Because of that, Blake knows that he needs to step it up, because even convincing contestants to join his team will prove to be a tougher task this time around.

Of course, it doesn’t help when the other judges try to get to him and poke fun at him- sounds like it’s going to be a blast this season!

Do you think that Blake Shelton could possibly pull off another win? We know you have an opinion and we want to hear it! Post a comment below and let us know.
