Will Lindsay Lohan Choose House Arrest Over Going To Trial?

March 10, 2013 08:00 AM by Donna W. Martin

Punk’d star; Lindsay Lohan is set to appear in court on Mar. 18 to face three misdemeanor charges stemming from a crash last June unless a plea bargain is accepted. But as time ticks away, sources close to Lohan say she and her attorney are no closer to striking a deal. In fact, Lohan refuses to accept any form of punishment at all. Take the jump for more details.

Following a crash last June, Lohan told police officers she was not driving her Porsche at the time of the accident but after a thorough investigation, officers determined she was lying. Lohan was then charged with three misdemeanors, obstructing or resisting a police officer, providing false information to a police officer, and reckless driving.

According to TMZ, prosecutors in the case originally wanted to place Lohan in a locked down rehab facility for 90 days as punishment for lying to the police and violating her probation but they have eased up a bit and are now offering to put the troubled star under 90 days house arrest.

And while Lohan’s attorney told prosecutors, she will accept a certain amount of time under house arrest, sources close to the Liz & Dick star say she’s not going for it and doesn’t plan to accept any type of punishment at all.

If the case goes to trial and Lohan is convicted, she faces months of actual jail time.

What do you think? Will Lindsay give in and accept house arrest? Or will she hold out for a trial? And if she goes to trial, do you think she will be convicted and sentenced to jail or will she get off with just another slap on the wrist? We know you have an opinion and we want to hear it so sound off in the comments and let us know.

Lohan thinks she is above the law and it is just right that she learns a lesson in civility as well as respecting laws. She got away to many times but now it is time for her to face reality and maybe a prolonged jail sentence will face her to see reality as well that she is not above the law

This young woman is incorrigible. If she was just an ordinary person she would have been serious jail time long ago. On the one hand, I feel sorry for her since she is clearly a very troubled person. On the other hand giving her jail time (and seeing that she serves it) may be the salutary experience she needs to help put her life on a track that will end this merry-go-round she’s on now and open up a brighter future for her.

Lindsey should take the deal. Most Misdemeanors carry potential senteces of 180 Days in Jail.
If they convicted her on all three charges she might end up serving a year in County because of her past trouble.
Her attorney is giving her bad advice.

She is so arrogant. She should be delighted with an offer of house arrest. At 26 or 27 she is a total burn-out. People are getting of her antics. Give it up girl and accept your punishment!

I’m sick and tired to death from hearing about Lohan’s latest escapodes. She obviously has no respect for the law. Send her to a women’s prison for a long time, then euthanize her upon release.

With house arrest, Lindsay could still work. All she needs to do is set up a web cam and a pay-for-view operation.

If she got herself back into shape and looked as good as she did in Machete it could bring in some serious money.

Go for it, roll dem bones and take the chance.
with any luck we will get an honest judge and she will spend the time she should have spent a long time a go, just like the rest of us would.
time to quit kissing her butt, she still can only put her undies on one leg at at time and time for her to learn it.

I totally agree with Ron. I, for 1, am awfully tired about hearing about her shinnigans. send her to prison !!! Enough is enough !! If she didn’t have such a well-known name, that is where she would be!! Like you and I. AMEN, please no more about her from news.
