March 11, 2013 09:31 AM by Donna W. Martin

Punk’d star, Justin Timberlake did more than just boost Saturday Night Live’s ratings by 23 percent over the weekend, he also mocked Hugo Chavez and slammed Kanye West for his comment about Timberlake’s new song, ‘Suit & Tie.’ Keep reading for more details.

According to MTV, Saturday Night Live’s rating shot up by 23 percent from the previous week when Justin Timberlake joined the five timer’s club accompanied by fellow five timer’s Alec Baldwin, Steve Martin, Tom Hanks, and Candice Bergen.

And Timberlake was a big hit when he embodied Elton John for a rendition of ‘Candle in the Wind’ where he mocked Venezuelan President, Hugo Chavez. In Timberlake’s skit, he wore a blue bedazzled suit and sat at the piano singing his goodbye to Hugo saying he had great style and panache… a man who liked to wear a sash. Then he went on to sing about how Hugo had called George Bush a devil, said he smelled like sulphur, and called him Mr. Dancer.

But the pinnacle of the night’s performances came when Timberlake and Jay-Z hit the stage to perform JT’s new single, ‘Suit & Tie.’ And he hadn’t forgotten Kanye West’s dig toward the song either. Nearly two weeks ago, Kanye voiced his opinion of the song during one of his concerts saying, “Remind me who’s the original superfly? I got love for Hov but I ain’t f*cking with that ‘Suit & Tie.’ So during the performance, Timberlake slammed Kanye for his dig changing up the lyrics to say “My hits so sick got rappers acting dramatic.”

What did you think of Justin Timberlake’s performance on Saturday Night Live? And did you like his comeback to Kanye’s comment about ‘Suit & Tie?’ We know you have an opinion and we want to hear it so sound off in the comments and let us know.
