As season four winds down, SyFy has just announced that Face Off has been renewed for a fifth edition. Face Off season five is slated to begin production in April and will premiere on a yet-to-be-determined date this summer. This news comes as no surprise since Face Off has become one of the network’s most successful programs — not to mention one of the best reality shows on TV.
“Face Off continues to prove itself as a ratings hit, earning critical and viewer accolades alike, and we are proud to bring the series back for another stunning season,” said Mark Stern, President of Original Content, SyFy, and Co-Head of Original Content, Universal Cable Productions.
Although it’s unknown how many aspiring special effects makeup artists will be placed on season five, we do know that one eliminated contestant from season four will return for a shot at redemption. The person who will get the second shot depends on the contestant who wins the “Face Off Redemption” challenge, which can be seen at SyFy.com.
Since the show’s inception, fans have embraced Face Off with open arms because it oozes with creativity from top to bottom. Personally, I can’t get enough of Face Off!
What do you think of this news? Are you a fan of Face Off? Who is your favorite contestant of all time? Which eliminated makeup artists from season four are you hoping gets a second chance? Sound off and leave a comment below!
