Wynonna Judd Tweets Thoughts On Dancing With The Stars Debut

March 19, 2013 01:00 PM by Stephanie Gustafson

Wynonna Judd is one of few Dancing with the Stars cast members you could actually call a star in that she is still famous and very successful. But the country singer has been through some tough times lately and wasn’t afraid to share how the hardship impacted her debut performance on last night’s season premiere.

It wasn’t easy for Wynonna Judd to make an appearance on Dancing with the Stars. Less than a year after an accident that left her husband without a leg, Wynonna’s still in a bit of shock. But she’s working through it in hopes of inspiring her fans while performing on a popular reality show.

Some of Wynonna’s fans were less inspired and more angered during the country singer’s first night on the show. Wynonna received rather mixed feedback from the judges, ultimately earning three scores of 6 for a total of 18 points. This was not even close to the lowest score of the night, but it still was a bit of a disappointment. That being said, Wynonna explained via Twitter that, ” the numbers are just numbers.” She intends to keep the judges’ feedback in mind, but ultimately, she will focus on what partner Tony Dovolani teaches her.

It’s impossible to say how long Wynonna Judd will remain on Dancing with the Stars. Her scores aren’t at all close to the top of the leader board, but she does have a very strong fan base. But according to Wynonna, that’s not really what matters. She’s just glad to be able to take part in such a unique experience. “It was an incredible learning experience. I never in a million years thought that I would find myself doing this. I sure am glad I tried.”
