Carrie Ann Inaba’s Father Passed Away Days Before Dancing With The Stars Premiere
March 21, 2013 09:00 AM by Lisa Princ
If you noticed something off about Carrie Ann Inaba this week on the season premiere of Dancing With The Stars, you were right, as Carrie Ann was definitely off emotionally during the show. And she had good reason – Carrie Ann Inaba’s father passed away a few days prior, and she is just now opening up about the sad news.
As if losing a family member is not hard enough, Carrie Ann Inaba had to endure that pain while heading back to the set of Dancing With The Stars, forcing a smile the entire time. Carrie Ann Inaba opened up in her People blog recently, sharing some very sad news – her father passed away a few days prior to the DWTS premiere.
“My father, Rodney Y. Inaba, passed away this past Thursday morning and it’s been a really challenging time. Losing a loved one is something that is so very hard to understand and cope with. I’m filled with a tremendous sadness but also a relief, for he is in a better place now,” Inaba posted.
While her blog was meant to focus on her style choices, Inaba chose to write about her father instead, understandably. She did mention that her style choice was something that made her feel safe and secure, much like her father. Inaba also explained: “I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to make it through the show with all the emotions that have been overflowing. But I felt my father’s spirit was with me.”
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Carrie Ann Inaba and her family during this trying time.

Condolences on the passing of your Father. We never get over the death of a loved one such as our Mom or Dad, However, the memories are what holds us up and keeps them alive in our hearts. I pray that the Lord comforts you and your family during this difficult and trying time.
Sincerely Chuck Warren
