These days, new Glee stars often prove themselves by appearing on The Glee Project. But Jessica Sanchez took an alternative route, taking runner-up on American Idol before making her big debut as a Gleek. Jessica’s fans will be glad to know that the singer’s first appearance on the show will take place in the near future!
Jessica Sanchez earned a reputation for being a sweet but powerful singer on American Idol. Now, though, fans are about to see a new side to last season’s runner-up to winner Phillip Phillips. Jessica will be guest starring on Glee and it looks like her role will be a departure from the wholesome teen to which we’ve grown accustomed.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Jessica admitted that she’s ready to explore a side of herself that audiences rarely experience. “I’m all about risqué — I love that stuff….You have to be out there sometimes, and Glee is so colorful and unexpected with everything. I’m really excited to see what they have planned for those episodes.”
While Jessica is eager to work with the entire cast of Glee, she’s particularly excited about the prospect of learning from the Naya Rivera, the actress best known for playing bad girl Santana. In Jessica’s ideal Glee scenario, she would have the opportunity to perform a duet with Naya or at least share a scene with the actress. “I love me some Santana, she’s amazing. I can’t wait to meet her. I hope I get to.”
